Orlando During MAOT 2012 Week

On Saturday, Sunday, and Monday I went to Disneyworld's Magic Kingdom, Epcot Center, and Hollywood Studios. I had so much fun going on so many rollercoasters and other rides. I also went to SeaWorld and rode on “Manta” which was one of the longest coolest rollercoasters I have ever been on!! I saw penguins, Shamu, sharks, fish, seals, sea lions, and flamingos/other birds. It was a total blast. Orlando was AMAZING!!!!!

August 8th - Dominick's MAOT Send-Off Party

Dominick's send off party was so much fun! Getting to see her show off some of her wardrobe and hear her amazing speaking skills was great. The party had tasty food and drinks but most of all had the best girl to showcase. I got to sing two times and enjoyed being a part of the entertainment. I had a blast being there and getting to see her before she left for Orlando.

Christian's Women Club Appearance/Performance

Last Tuesday I attended a Christian Womens Club meeting and had the wonderful opportunity to perform a couple of songs for the group. There were several speakers for the brunch and two really stood out to me....one educated us about service dog etiquette and another woman from South Africa spoke about finding herself. That event opened my eyes and helped me realize that my opportunities as Miss VA's OPT will give me new experiences I could not create any other way. I am truly open to learning about new topics, cultures, beliefs and other issues that are important to people in VA.

It left me with the hope that every person can find themselves and be fearless. "This is a new year. A new beginning. And things will change." Change is one of the things we can definitely count on so why not embrace it :-) Luv & hugs - Jordan

Homecoming Party 7/16/2011

I had a homecoming party to celebrate winning MVOPT and everyone that helped me prepare for Miss VA was there! I want to thank each and every person who supported me and cheered me on! Friends and family are great and getting them all together is even better.

"To me, Fearless is not the absense of fear. It's not being completely unafraid. To me, Fearless is having fears. Fearless is having doubts. Lots of them. To me, Fearless is living in spite of those things that scare you to death." — Taylor Swift

I had fear going into MVOPT but now I know fear is just another word for stressed or anxious. Stay "fearless" and keep that pretty smile on your face!

Flags, Clowns & Other Crowns.....

On July 4th I rode in a parade in Chesapeake, VA.  It was my first official appearance as Miss VA's Outstanding Preteen and I was so excited to get my year of service started.  I mingled with the crowd and met all sorts of public service officials and other local titleholders.  Mr. Mark cleaned up his sporty Jeep CJ7 and let me stand in the back and I waved and waved and it was HOT :-)  The parade was televised on Channel 48 in Chesapeake and I hope to get to see it very soon.
Thank you to all of our military and to those who have served in any capacity to protect our freedom.  You will never be forgotten.

New Adventures

I am very blessed and privileged to have been given the title of Miss VA's Outstanding Preteen 2011 and all of the opportunities that come along with it!! I am looking forward to my year of service. I've already been contacted about a write-up in the Virginian-Pilot Beacon, will be riding in a parade on July 4th and will be going to MAOT for the National Princess program "Princess Camp" in Orlando in August with Dominick Fink, my awesome Teen sister!

My local directors and other supporters: Debbie & Bud Moulse, Mark Grauppmann, Patty, Mom, Dad, Grandma Carol, Aunt Judy, Aunt Debbie, Grandma, Ms. Millie, Ms. Margaret, Ms. Kay & Jacob: thank you all for so very much for your help! I could not have done this without you and I love you all!!
The competition was very fun this year and I made a TON of new great friendships. As MVOPT I will be blogging about my year and have many exciting events I will be sponsoring and attending. I am excited about how I can benefit the Miss VA Organization and my platform, Compassionate Kids this year! I sincerely think my message will reach more people now because of my state title.

To my Miss Greater Hampton Roads sisters, Makensie and Shannon, I love ya'll!! To my new sisters, Dominick & Elizabeth, I look forward to some great times, MAOT, Miss America & getting to know both of you even better! I am SO excited and thankful and look forward to seeing you all soon :) Until then, just remember to LIVE, LAUGH, LOVE & HAVE FUN!!
